SUPERELLIPS
Superellips is a very large dining table designed by Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson and edited by Fritz Hansen. Piet Hein imagines and designs this elliptical shape according to a mathematical equation, initially in order to solve traffic problems for the Swedish motorways. The base with flared metal branches was created by Bruno Mathsson.
