SUPERELLIPS
The Superellipse is a large dining table designed by Piet Hein and Bruno Mathsson, and published by Fritz Hansen. Hein imagined this elliptical shape based on a mathematical equation, initially to solve traffic problems on Swedish highways. The flared metal branch base, created by Mathsson, completes the design. It is the largest model of Superellipse available without extensions.
