Denmark (1903-1984)
Graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Denmark in 1931, Magnus Stephensen was famous for his refined and unadorned style that often referred to Japanese design. At the beginning of his career he focused on architecture, but later he designed many smaller objects and silverware for Danish brands such as Kay Bojesen, Georg Jensen and Royal Copenhagen. Magnus Stephensen was awarded several times at the Milan Triennale and in 1948 he received the Eckersberg Medal.
