Essential designers, Charles and Ray Eames changed the design of furniture and architecture in the 20th century. They are known for their innovative contributions in the field of architecture, industrial design but especially for their modern furniture. Made from new materials such as moulded plywood, fibreglass-based reinforced plastic, wire and curved aluminum, which provide consumers with beautiful, functional and inexpensive products. Among the greatest successes of the couple: the DCW chair published in 1946, the Lounge chair inspired by the traditional English club, the rocking chair RAR published by Vitra in 1972.
