Sweden (1907-1988)
Bruno Mathsson is an architect and designer known for his ergonomic, functional and comfortable wooden furniture made in the 1930s. He is one of the pioneers of Swedish design, famous for his strap chairs. Mathsson’s furniture was innovative in terms of technique and design, its production methods included folding laminate wood. In Denmark, he designed the PH Superellipse table series in collaboration with Danish designer Piet Hein in 1968.
